Following Hyundai India, Tata Motors and BMW India, Mercedes-Benz India has also introduced their digital sales platform. Customers can get hold of Mercedes-Benz India’s entire range of cars online. Earlier the online shop had only retailed used cars.
Titled #MercFromHome, it is a 100% digital solution to buy the dream car as promised by Mercedes-Benz. Customers can browse the entire range, consult with experts on video call, test drive at home,
a transparent financial process, digital paperwork and white glove delivery
with the new platform. They can also access detailed specifications to the on-road price of the car. It even mentions smaller but important details, such as the availability of a particular model in a city, its VIN number, exterior and interior schemes, and it lets buyers unlock offers and view finance options too.
In eight simple steps, customers
can now book and get their dream Mercedes-Benz vehicle delivered at their
doorstep. The first step
is to explore the range. You can get personalised consultation and complete documentation through online. The second step
is selecting the model of your choice. The third step is unlocking offers. The instant upfront pricing of the vehicle will be revealed with the best possible financeterms. A detailed deal sheet outlining every aspect of the purchase including finance alternatives will be mailed.
Moving on if you express interest, online sales assistant will take you through
the entire purchase journey. The online assistance is available from 10AM to
12 midnight. Apart from the assistance
in online navigation, they will also help you with test drives and vehicle delivery. You will be directed to Mercedes-Benz Consultation Studio in the next step.
The next step helps you with financial consultations, car trade-in, Advanced Assurance and service packages. Pay the booking amount and finalise your purchase in the next step. If you finish

Mercedes-Benz had earlier clarified that this platform is by the dealer and for the dealer. The online platform incorporates the ‘shop’ that belongs to the each individual dealer in the region. The stock the customers view is what is available with the dealers and the offers are also dealer-specific.
The company expects 25% of its sales through online by 2025.
